CLC Billing Recovery for Fosse
Marriott's legacy property system at select-service properties — limited reporting, lots of CLC blind spots.
Fosse is Marriott's legacy property management system, still running at a meaningful share of select-service Marriott properties. It is purpose-built for Marriott's operational rhythms but offers limited reporting depth, which makes CLC reconciliation inside Fosse painful at best.
CLC quirks specific to Fosse
Routing instructions are easy to misconfigure
Fosse's routing logic for CLC stays must be configured precisely or the CheckINN card will be charged for items it cannot accept. The result is a settlement decline at checkout — and a guest-experience problem on top of the billing problem.
Marriott corporate rates can drift from CLC contracted rates
Even when Marriott's central rate management pushes updated CLC rates to Fosse, timing gaps mean the property may post a different rate than Corpay authorized. Each gap night becomes a small short-pay nobody notices.
Reporting depth is shallow
Pulling a clean CLC-only reservation report out of Fosse is non-trivial. Most properties end up cross-referencing reservation source codes manually, which means errors compound until somebody runs a quarterly audit.
