Q2 2026 CLC Billing Changes: What Every Hotel Must Know Before April

Corpay is tightening its CLC virtual card validation rules again, and the changes taking effect in Q2 2026 will catch unprepared hotels off guard. We've been tracking these updates closely, and here's what your property needs to know.

The biggest change: Corpay is shortening the post-checkout charge window on CheckINN cards to 24 hours for select corporate programs. Previously, most hotels had 48-72 hours to process the virtual card after guest departure. Second, Corpay is introducing stricter merchant category code (MCC) validation. If your hotel's MCC doesn't match their approved list — which happens frequently after processor changes, acquisitions, or rebrands — the card will hard-decline at the terminal. No soft decline, no retry window.

Third, they're expanding dynamic rate authorization to more corporate accounts. This means the authorized card amount may change based on real-time rate feeds rather than static contracted rates.
